Yes, the film can be removed. Usually a professional is recommended to remove. We use a 6″ stainless steel razor blade and power it off.
We use Avery Dennison, Huper Optik and Solyx window films.
For residential most of the Interior films will have a lifetime warranty labor & materials from fading, peeling, cracking , bubbling and turning purple. Warranty will be only valid to original purchaser. For exterior films, we seal edges with silicone and will very 5-10 years depending on product.

There are a number of films that are safe for interior applications as well as exterior options. Exterior films are more efficient for reducing heat but will have less of a warranty due to weathering. It’s about having experienced professionals inspect your glass and educate you on the best option.
Yes, some companies will not tell you this. Even if you put a certain blinds to close the the glass will void the warranty. Our warranty takes over for 5 years glass breakage and 3 years seal failure.
Seal failure is when the dual pane glass insulating properties have failed. The gas between the panes has escaped and moisture will start to form once the moisture absorbing packets are full that sit in the frame of the glass. Older dual panes glass will fail over time even with out window film on depending on the quality of the glass.
Yes you can, It will just have a hazy appearance between the panes depending on how much moisture is surrounding window.
We use baby shampoo and water to apply the film with a squeegee. Then trim film with razor blade to edge of window frame.
Yes, all films have 99% uv protection.
You cannot stop fading but you can greatly slow the process. You can extend the life by a significant amount. Even indirect light causes fading, so unless you board up your windows fading is going to happen. The more light and heat you reduce along with uv the more fade protection you can achieve.
Yes, the standard films can help hold glass together but the saftey and security films are made to hold glass together in case of a fall into glass or in case of an earthquake.
There are but almost all of them you will loose your vision looking out. The frosted opac films work great for privacy but you cannot see out. They do have Smart Tint products that you can switch on and off for the best of both worlds.
Yes, there are some different options for daytime privacy so people can’t see in during the day if they are passing by. Usually we need to put up a medium film that has a slight shine from the outside looking in. Some options can be very mirrored for extra privacy, heat and glare reduction.
Yes, we install exterior films on flat non-domed skylights. For domed skylights we can put a mesh screen cover over to reduce uv, light and heat.
It depends on what kind of texture, some we can.
Yes, there is an exterior film OptiLite 75 that can absorb 56% of the heat so it will not reflect as much back onto your lawn.
We recommend ammonia free products. There is product called Spray-Away that works very well.
Yes, depending on the film thickness it can take 1-6 weeks to fully cure. 6 weeks for the super thick security films.
Depends on the size of the job, residential jobs couple hours to a full day. Commercial projects couple hours to a couple weeks.
Yes, we can handle full multi level projects.
We clean the side we will be putting the film on and make sure it is surgically clean. It’s up to you if you want the other side of glass cleaned prior to install. Some customers notice dirty windows due to one side clean and the other not.
